Embodiment Sessions : Resourcing Techniques with Dre Hartley

Embodiment Sessions Part 3: A Deep Dive into Somatics and Space Holding

Embodiment Sessions offer an in-depth exploration of the science behind the connection between mind and body, focusing on the profound ways our nervous system communicates, adapts, and shapes our experience of the world. These sessions integrate a range of somatic practices with cutting-edge neuroscience, offering both theoretical insights and practical tools for cultivating embodied awareness.

Practice & Facilitation on March 29 practices the art and skill of holding space, drawing on the principles from Parts One and Two to guide and support embodied practices.

Topics include:
Mind-Body Communication: How the brain and body interact, including polyvagal theory and the vagus nerve.
Nervous System Regulation: Techniques to balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic states.
Resourcing Techniques: Breathwork, tapping, movement and sound techniques to regulate emotions and energy.
Somatic Parts Work & Turnarounds: Releasing tension through body awareness and shifting perception with mindfulness and inquiry.
Compassionate Space Holding: The influence of thoughts/feelings on physical states. Creating healing, non-fearful environments.
All three sessions fall on a Saturday from 2:00-4:00pm. Space is limited, book in advance
