Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not all classes are hot, but for practitioners of Hot Yoga, we offer a spacious room with varying temperatures depending on the class.

  • Any of them. All of our classes are beginner friendly and you are always encouraged to take the class at your own pace. The instructor will be guiding you through the class, but you are ALWAYS allowed to make any modifications needed to better suit your body.

The Hot 26 series' purpose is to restore full range of motion to the joints of the body. While the temperature is hotter than a flow class, the poses are static, slower holds allowing you to take the time needed to bring the poses of the series into your body.

Flow classes, while cooler in temperature, actively link the movement of the body to your breath. Classes are more active and a little faster paced than the hot 26, but still accessible for beginners and can be modified to be more challenging for more experienced practicers.

Yin classes are the coolest in temperature, and slowest paced. These classes involve long, static holds of poses that are close to the ground. These longer holds allow for the student to work more into joints and connective tissues, rather than actively stretching muscles.

  • Yourself :) Plan to bring a mat; a bath, beach, or mat towel (to catch some sweat); and a water bottle so you can keep yourself hydrated. However, if you don't have any of those, we have all of them in house for you to use! Your first time, supplies are on us!

  • Our studio doors are open 30 minutes prior to the start of class. Try to develop a habit of getting to the studio at least 10 minutes early, which will give you plenty of time to get your things settled in our lobby/locker area and get your mat set up in the hot room. New students should plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early so we can make sure paperwork is filled out and we can give you a tour of the space. Developing a habit of being on time (or early!) helps us keep classes running on schedule.

  • Perfect! Yoga is not for the flexible, it's for the willing. Students who establish a regular practice of yoga will experience increased flexibility and range of motion.

  • Hydrate! Hot yoga makes you sweat (more than you normally would working out) so make sure that you are coming to class hydrated. We also suggest that you do not come to class with a full stomach. Make sure if you are eating before yoga that it is several hours before so you have time to let your food digest. If you do need to eat right before class, make sure it is something on the lighter side that won't sit heavy in your stomach.

  • As a beginner, it takes about 3 classes for your body and mind to adjust to the temperature and to fully understand the poses and what is expected in class. The more hot yoga you do, the faster your body will start to change and the quicker your body will develop healthier habits to support your new practice.
